++Keepin it Real++

Hello Lovely,

So as if my life cannot get more hectic let’s throw some “Home Remodeling” into the Mix. I have decided I am determined to create a sure proof way for one to lose their mind. I feel pretty good about it right now but that could just be my delusional side talking. Back to the topic at hand though- the Re-Mod..Bom Bom BOm and bad villain Batman music playing in the back ground. {J/K}. The Bathroom will be my next undertaking and I have already re-arranged the Living Room and brought in the Fabulous Couches (AKA Sister Marlen You are AMAZING). The Bathroom we decided needs the face-lift first because the “Genius” in our house before us decided wood flooring in a bathroom is brilliant. Last time I checked wood soaks up moisture, rots, and well a five year old could tell you that would cause mold (AKA The Dreaded Mildred). So obviously you could see my concern with the fact my master bath (that I use daily) has wood flooring needs to be corrected ASAP to avoid me having a OCD Clean Freak Fit. Of course, In this process why would I want to just fix it when I can make it phenomenal instead. So let it begin and we will see just how much Tight I can Squeeze out of a Penny.

Oh Yes Yes Yes..I started school officially yesterday and it was great. Looking forward to it I just hope I don’t have any slackers in my group cases or I might just have to go Janice Dickenson on them cause we all know she is Beyond NUTS. I am feeling good about it though not thinking it should be as scary as I assumed it would be. Anyways, I got the backpack, supplies, and a great study mix on my IPod so pretty sure this program can bring it. Just kidding I don’t think I need anything bringing anything at this point I just need to keep swimming and make it out alive. “Good day readers” and thank you for your time!!

The Sappy Day

Hello World!!

So I am super emotional today I have no idea why but it happens to the best of us I guess. So what I have found to work for me is to Blog on about it. So here it goes I am just going to throw it out here because I have a yearning desire that I just can’t shake. I want to adopt a international child in the next 5 years. I know this probably sounds crazy to most people, but I can’t help it, and I think about it all the time. It is like this big fat thing I want to tell the world but I feel like I can’t because people have a lot of opinions and may not agree with me. But, I can’t put it out of my mind for months I have been thinking about it and just thinking how there are so many children in the world who have no one and it is breaks my heart. I read all the time about children starving to death and passing away just because they don’t have water. I know you can adopt locally but even the poorest children in America have it better than children parentless in Peru, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Bolivia. I know I can’t cure world hunger but If I can just make a difference in one life I will feel like I helped somehow. Gheez, I am so super sappy today but I had to get it out. Thanks for reading my ranting.

 Sincerely,

Me

~Just a Little Peek InSiDe~

HELLO LOVELY,

You all know how obsessed I am with home improving, decorating, staging, and art anything. I probably waste a good third of my life daydreaming of pretty StuFf. So I decided today I wanted to just blog about ways I have worked with my space. We all know at some point we all started with a room, well some us probably even shared and still have not even begun to start their own space. But, for this exercise lets imagine we started with a room and let it grow into a home with time. I love spaces because with time people take blank plain white walls and dress them with their inner selves. When you go to someone’s home you are not visiting emptiness you are getting a look at who they are and what defines them from the inside out. It’s like you get a sneak peek into their soul for a second their deepest inside character is showing. As humans I feel we have a inner desire to express what is within us even the boring number types like myself. I mean really look at it, even down to the lowest level a prison cell is decorated in some way by the inmate. As people our surroundings help define us. So I love to be inspired and find new ways to express my inner self, because lordy we all know my inner self is LOUD! {HeHe} Now that my ranting is over I will begin. The first is the inspiration of making a small room my functioning space with limited funds. I took Nightstands and used them as support for a sheet board (purchased at Lowes $22) to form a functioning desk and room office space. The decorations are an array of items from different hodge podge stores on my travels and as simple as Tuesday Morning’s (This Store Amazing for Bargain Décor). I like to use Inspiration pictures and then make them my own. I use wall length curtains behind the bed to give the illusion the room and window are much larger.

The picture on the Right is my Design and the one on the left is one I found on HGTV.com. These are old designs from when I was at my condo in 2007 but give you again my start. Let’s see how this will progress as we move all the way along to defining my dream space. I threw some of my favorites in too so you can get a idea of who I have grown to be and how my space has changed to reflect just this. *EnJoY*

*SaSsY DIY Coasters*

Good Day World, So even though this is the worst day for the stock market since 2008 and America seems to be going down the crapper I’m thinking COASTERS. What a fabulous idea I ran across on my latest addiction pinterest (which by the way if you haven’t discovered it yet it is a Time Sponge BeWaRe. So the coasters, these little beauties are fabulous and another splendid crafty idea that is inexpensive but personal. You all know how much I love these DIY projects (I have a complex, I’m working on it {LoL}).

Make your own coasters- 4×4 tiles ($.16 Home Depot); 4×4 scrapbook paper; adhere to tile with Mod Podge and let dry; Spray a coat of clear spray paint and let dry; attach felt pads to the bottom Repinned to How-To and DIY 7 days ago from fun DIY by Amanda Rose-http://pinterest.com/dawncorrespond/

“O Happy {Flip flop} Day”

Fabulous inexpensive 10 minute project that is a perfect gift! I used this idea for my Girls Night Out event. It gave me a fun gift to give all my girlfriends and say thanks for taking time out of their busy schedules to come mingle. This would also be fun party favor for kids birthday parties (I am just saying we all know how expensive our sweet baby’s birthday party’s get {HeHe}. This project also won’t  break the bank, I promise. Get the flop at Old Navy 1$ flip flop sale (Ideal) but if you miss it, Dollar Tree in Turkey Creek has them all Summer long. Pick up your favorite fabric, I personally love Joann’s on Cedar Bluff and heart their Clearance Section. Then all you need are your scissors, fabric glue, the tutorial for Knot so Hard Flip Flops from http://www.themotherhuddle.com/tutorial-the-knot-so-hard-flip-flop-diy/, and your ready for some fabulous fun.

They are comfortable, inexpensive, personalized, and best of all no more “Ridiculous bLiStErS” from the cheap plastic in between these toes. I attached the picture of the pair I made for girls night above, but I am now also working on a extra pair for myself to just wear to the pool and it will be a mix between the three pairs you will see below, I love them. (Can’t wait to show you all the craziness I come up with). Have a Wonderful Day and enjoy the Sunshine!

Gussy Sew’s!

Check out these Fabulous bags that will be sooo easy to make. I have decided birthday this year it will be a Sewing machine and New clutches for the New Year. I Can’t wait to share all the neat things I find in my new found blogging adventure.

Hello World!

So where do I even start.. So much has happened in my short life, but let’s just keep it high level for this exercise. You all know me as the hyper-bubbly positive machine that I am. Although I do believe I might just have more personality’s then Sybil (J/K). I decided to create this blog to be my outlet for all my juices that build up that Facebook can’t handle (Since I can be long winded at times).

High level experiences that have got me here:

1)     I made it through that crazy car accident in 2002 (Life-changing, No speeding and always wear your seatbelt)

2)     College (Enough Said)

3)     4 Ridiculous Crazy relationships that made me who I am ( We will come back to this too much for this blog, LOL, You all made me better though)

4)     Laid off, week later find out I am pregnant (Didn’t see that one coming, Unemployed and Prego)

5)     Started my career only to 2 years later start over (Thank you Recession)

6)     Married (He is AMAZING and my Soul Mate, Doesn’t mean Marriages is Roses and butterfly’s, keep this in context)

7)     Became a Mommy (#1 Best thing that ever Happened to me aside from Marrying my Love, Non-Gushy)

8)     Buying a house (Which is stressful enough for one lifetime, for me to manage twice in 2 years)

9)     Don’t even get me started on vehicles, might as well be talking about candy bars

10)  Decided to go back for my MBA while working full time (I am officially Delusional)

11)  Took on a 32 Unit Condo complex to manage (Which would have been easier to drop a Nato Bomb in the center and start over it was such a mess, again later date..lol)

So High Level Nutshell..Everyone has a Ton of Craziness in their lives just like me and it just helps sometime’s to just let it go. A simple person just being able to take all the highs and lows and look back and say WOW I am really living is where I’m going. Life is not Perfect and I don’t expect it to be, but I find my happy place every day and live in it. My mind keeps going with Butterfly’s, Happy Music, and dancing all day in my head. Don’t get me wrong there will be days where you want to be like “that’s it, I am Done, Cancel everything I am Losing it, and are You really Still in my Face” but then the next day gets here and you keeping moving forward and realize this is what it is all about. I think I almost find peace in the disarray, think I may be looking for balance in chaos if that is even possible. Anyways, This is my way of giving you all a starting point for this crazy ride and If u think I’m a fool then your my inspiration…

Made me laugh hard, Good Share-

I just saved 15% or more by fleeing the scene of the accident. (In a Serious Sean Connery Voice)

 Goodday Gents!!
